Restart jira for the icons to be updated. Re indexing does not fix the issue. View issue screen and issue navigator are showing the correct avatar.
This issue also happens on create issue screen and edit issue screen. Avatars did not update on some pages. Avatars should be changed after updated.

So i think the only way to add a svg file to a issue type is by creating an avatar directly on the database and associate it to the issue type also directly on the database.
